- NBR: excellent resistance to gases, oils and hydrocarbons
- HNBR: high temperature and chemical resistance
- FKM / VITON: excellent resistance to aggressive fluids and heat
- Silicone (LSR or HCR): temperature resistance, high elongation
- CR (Chloroprene): good fire resistance and resistance to ageing
- EPDM: suitable for ozone, high temperatures and steam
